Excursion to the Monasteries of Saints Anthony and Paul, located in the Wadi el-Natrun desert in northwestern Egypt. They are one of the oldest Christian monasteries and are of historical and religious value. The Monastery of St. Anthony is one of the oldest operating in the world. It was founded in the 4th century and is a place of worship for Saints Anthony and Paul. The monastery contains a small church, icon paintings and a monastery museum where you can learn more about its history. St Paul's Monastery, also known as Baramus Monastery, also has a rich history dating back to the 4th century. It serves as a refuge for monks and contains many churches, cells, a library and a museum. It also contains the place where, according to legend, the Apostle Paul himself lived. During the excursion you will be able to walk through the monastery grounds, learn historical facts and get acquainted with the life of the monks. What is included in the excursion program: Departure from Hurghada to the monasteries at approximately 04:00 (the exact time will be announced after booking, the approximate travel time is about 3 hours in a comfortable car, 300 km); Visit to the monastery of St. Anthony, walk and communicate with the monks; Travel to the second monastery - St. Paul (distance about 80 km); Visit to the Monastery of St. Paul, walk and communicate with the monks; Return back to the hotel at approximately 18:00. Cost (the total price is indicated, the more people, the lower per person):
2 people (passenger car) = $110 (minimum trip cost);
3 people (passenger car) = $120 (from 6 years);
4 people (mini-bass) = $140 (from 6 years);
5 or more people (up to 8) +$20 (children from 6 to 12 +$10) per person to the amount for 4 people.
If 8 adults are traveling, the cost per person is $28.
If the number of people is more than 8 people, the price is on request.
The price of the excursion includes:

Additional Information:
An individual Russian-speaking guide and a comfortable car with driver are provided;
Fridays and Saturdays are official holidays in Egypt and there can be a lot of Egyptians in the monasteries.
If solitude and more communication with monks is important, we recommend choosing other days;
It is necessary to send passport photos of all people to obtain a tourist permit to travel to the tourist police;
A prepayment of $50 is required for obtaining a permit, booking a car and a guide, refundable if you cancel the excursion at least one day before the departure date.
